River of Bangladesh

Bangladesh is a land of river. About 700 rivers including tributaries flow through the country constituting a waterway of total length around 24,140 kilometres. Padma,Meghna,Jamuna are there main river. People use this route cause river tour is cheaply. Fisherman collect the fishes in this river. Mainly they are agriculture base country. Almost 80 percent people are here are farmer. So, water is a huge fact here and they collected a huge amount of water by the help of river.

Padma is the longest river here and meghna is the deepest river. Hilsha is the national fish of bangladesh and it is found in the Padma river. The Ilish of padma is famous all over the world and it is collected in Chandpur,Patuakhali,Vola,Noakhali,Barishal district.


The Ganges-Padma systems is part of the greater Ganges system. The Ganges has a total length of about 2,600 km and a catchment area of maximum 907,000 sq km. The importance of river are many. The test of river fish is awesome. The govt collecting a lot of money in this river.
